How much does it cost to build a PC for your needs?
Separate budget, target price and observed cost without mixing currencies or inventing totals.
Updated on · Choices and budget

What to consider first
The cost depends on your needs, reused parts and verified offers for each item in your country. When prices are missing, show a subtotal with gaps; your intended budget is not an observed price.
Without enough local offers, there is no reliable total or price-range ranking. Your preferred currency does not automatically convert prices from another country.
1. Describe what the PC needs to do
List your applications, games, resolution and monitor. Record the components you already own and those you intend to reuse. Gaming, editing, local AI and storage have different needs; a budget alone does not show that a configuration can handle the work.
2. Add up only traceable amounts
Use recent offers for the exact variant, with the seller, condition and payment method identified. Account for quantity and known shipping costs separately. Without a reliable offer for every part, treat the amount as a subtotal and keep the gaps visible. Target price is what you intend to spend; the price paid is a private record.
3. Allow for dependencies
A replacement may also require a BIOS update, cooler, GPU, cables or another case. Check these conditions in the upgrade plan before comparing costs. Reusing RAM requires confirming the generation and platform: Kingston's documentation explains that DDR5 is not compatible with DDR4 platforms. We do not assume savings or performance.
